Celebrating 15 Years of Dutch Market at Holland House.

posted in: Dutch Community, Events, News | 0

The Dutch market will be celebrating its 15th anniversary on Saturday the 11th of July.

The market was set up 15 years ago to enable the Dutch community to meet each other in Holland House and enjoy Dutch food . The markets are held every 2nd Saturday of each month excluding January.

This has been a big success as the market has grown from strength to strength. There is always a good atmosphere with lots of people dropping in for a cup of coffee and meeting up with friends and/or making new friends and to do some shopping of course! Over the years there have been many regular stall holders offering a variety of Dutch goodies like herring, chicory, gevulde speculaas, poffertjes, cheese and groceries. There are often books, flowers and other items for sale too.

We are happy for additional stall holders. If you have a product you wish to sell at our market, please contact Albert Ruijne on 09-2621337 or 021346933

The kitchen/café, managed by the Auckland Dutch Dancers for many years now, offer coffee and tea, oliebollen, kroketten, bitterballen and worst.

We wish to thank all stallholders for their years of loyalty and contribution to the ongoing success of our markets.

Please come and celebrate our 15th birthday with us on 11th of July from 10 to 12.30 am at Holland House 123 Rockfield Road, Penrose, Auckland. Everyone is more than welcome. A free treat will be served with all drinks.
