The month has gone fast because life is full of things to do. I had an accident with my left knee which meant that I could not participate in the Dutch dances for a while, but had to do other things instead. Both Inge and I had our first taste of the flu this year but that has quickly left us. It is back to getting this article written for our ever popular Auckland Krantje.
The March Dutch Market had again a good turnout of people we had not seen for a while. The weather was good and that meant that Margreet Kruit could have a stand on the deck, using the BBQ to make satay kebabs with her famous satay sauce. She was very happy with the good interest people showed in her product. She has decided to do this again at the May Market. So those who missed out on this experience can have an opportunity to taste this lovely meal in May.
Those who attended the film evening in March had value for their money. The Film “Oorlogswinter” was a great success and was later shown again in Ons Dorp. On the 16th of April we will have a games evening again, and our next film evening will be on Saturday evening the 21st of May.
As from the 1st of April membership renewal is due for 2016. Your Club needs your membership support to keep the Club going.
