Dress in orange and decorate your bike to celebrate Dutch Week & Dutch culture, at our vibrant Orange Bike Ride!

This is a fun, family-friendly event for all & all ages, an easy, mostly flat ride around Auckland, starting and finishing at the Ponsonby Cruising Club.

🚲 Ride Options

Choose the route that suits you best:

• Leisure Ride: Cycle to Teal Park, where you can enjoy refreshments and delicious Dutch treats before heading back to the start.

• Extended Ride: Continue from Teal Park to St Heliers, then return to the Ponsonby Cruising Club for a longer adventure.

Dress Up & Win!

Go all out in orange and “pimp” your bike!
Prizes will be awarded for the most creative outfits and best-decorated bikes.

Important Information

• All bikes must be roadworthy

• Helmets are mandatory

• Please bring sunscreen, water, and a raincoat

• This is a self-guided ride—children must be accompanied by an adult

About the Event

The Orange Bike Ride promotes cycling as a sustainable mode of transport and raises awareness about climate change through a fun, community-focused event. It connects New Zealanders with local Dutch communities across Aotearoa.

As part of the annual Dutch Week festival, this event celebrates Dutch culture, highlights the contributions of Dutch communities and businesses, and strengthens the connection between the Netherlands and Aotearoa New Zealand.
